The Cliff Walk trail runs for 3.5 miles from Easton's Beach in the north to Reject's Beach in the south. The trail passes many of Newport's most famous historic mansions and features a combination of smoothly paved pathways and rocky, unpaved areas. These unpaved areas are centered toward the southern portion at Ledge Road/Bellevue Avenue, and can be difficult for small children, the elderly and disabled persons to navigate.
  • how long will it take to complete the trail?

Plan to spend a minimum of 2.5 hours if you wish to walk the entire length of the trail round trip. There are plenty of places to stop and appreciate the scenic beauty of the cliffs and ocean and pause to admire the many historic mansions perched on the ocean's edge along the way. Be sure to bring your camera and take your time.
